Privacy Policy
Accountable is a personal-goal-tracking app in private testing. This page describes what we collect, why, and what we do not do. It is not yet a final published policy; the app is not generally available. If you are using Accountable today, you are part of a small invited group and the following applies.
What we collect
- Email address. Used only to send magic-link sign-in emails. Stored masked at rest in our database.
- Goals you create. Title, description, schedule, check-in history, and any rewards or supporters you attach.
- Check-in data you submit. Self-reported progress, plus any verifying evidence you choose to attach.
- Device-level diagnostics. Crash reports and basic operational logs. We do not collect ad identifiers.
What we do not collect
- No precise location.
- No contact list scraping. Supporters are only added when you invite them by email or share a single-use link.
- No payment information. Accountable does not move real money; any "rewards" in the current build are simulated.
- No third-party advertising trackers.
Where data is stored
Application data lives in a Supabase Postgres database hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States (Oregon region). Email delivery is handled by Resend. Both providers are bound by their own privacy and security policies.
Who can see your data
You can see all of your own data. Supporters you invite see only what you explicitly share with them โ typically check-in summaries and reward state for the goals they support, never your full history. Accountable's operators can view database contents for debugging and administration; we do not sell or share user data.
Deleting your data
Email hello@accountable-progress.com from the address tied to your account and we will permanently delete your record. Audit-log entries that reference deleted accounts are scrubbed of identifiers but retained for integrity.
Children
Accountable is not intended for users under 18.
Changes
We will note material changes here and, where possible, email active users.
